Sexy, 5.5-inch Swipe Sense starts selling for Rs 10,000

Swipe Sense, a 5.5-inch ultra-thin Android KitKat phablet from the Indian brand, has started selling for Rs 9,999 in India.

The phone was announced in August, and is pitted as a lower-priced, but hi-tech phablet with a fingerprint scanner and gesture support. It is also one of the sexiest phones, in terms of looks, in the Rs 10,000 range. It is currently available in Mumbai.

According to the company, the Swipe Sense comes with a patented sensor with extra sensitive receptors to record even the minutest differences in fingerprints.

“The Sense is a technological marvel, Constructed using precision technology. Swipe has managed to introduce leading hardware, while keeping the form factor the thinnest in its class. At just 7.8mm, the Ultra Thin Sense is one of the slimmest Fablets in the world,” the company said.

The phone also has a 1.3 GHz Quad Core process, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of built-in memory, 8 megapixel camera and a 3.2 MP one at the front, 3G, AGPS and a 2,250 mAh battery. The phone also provides a spare battery in the box. It has gesture control mechanism that lets users control their phone just by using gestures even with the screen turned off.

The only downside is the IPS display resolution. The Swipe Sense comes with a quarter HD screen with just 540 x 960 pixels. This, in a way, is the reason why the phone is priced at Rs 9,999 and not at Rs 13,000.
