Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, today, said it was extending its special fares for its economy guests travelling within India.
The scheme, which was announced a few says ago, enables travelers to get a discount of 40% on the base fare and fuel surcharge.
The earlier scheme was applicable to international flights also, but under the extension, the scheme will apply to domestic flights only.
The 2 day special fare offer will be available for sale from August 6 to August 7, 2014 with travel effective from September 1, 2014 onwards for flights within India.
“The above offer is valid for travel only on direct and connecting flights on the airline’s domestic network. The sale is not applicable on group bookings,” Jet said.
Jet was the biggest airline in the private sector in India. But it has seen its market share eaten away by low fare airlines like SpiceJet, Indigo and Go Air in recent years.
Responding to discount schemes, Jet has also started offering lower fares.
