Advanced Enzyme Tech appoints distributor for South East Asia

Advanced Enzyme Technologies Ltd, India’s largest food supplement enzyme manufacturer, said it has appointed an exclusive distributor for Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand & Vietnam.

The distribution agreement with Singapore-based Azelis covers all food enzymes and probiotics for the food & dietary supplement industry.

Azelis sells chemical and food ingredients in over 50 countries across and has 2,800 employees, 45,000 customers,and an annual turnover of €2.22 billion.

Advanced Enzyme Technologies, on its part, manufactures and sells over 400 proprietary products and sells in over 45 countries.

“We see excellent fit of our food enzymes and probiotics for food & dietary supplement with Azelis’ product portfolio and their industry reach.

“We are confident that our distribution partnership with Azelis will help to provide exceptional customer service, strengthen supply chain & improve market reach,” the Indian company said.

The agreement will help SE Asian customers benefit with strong technical support, local presence, quick service and faster turnaround, it added.

On its part, Azelis said the addition of Advanced Enzymes’ product range will strengthen its offering in the food & health market and allow it to develop solutions that capitalize on health-supplement food trends.

“Together, we will be able to provide customers with innovative solutions for all their formulation requirements, while also creating business opportunities for growth across the region,” Azelis added.

Besides human health care and nutrition, Advanced Enzyme Tech also offers products in animal nutrition, baking, fruit & vegetable processing, brewing & malting, grain processing, protein modification, dairy processing, specialty applications and textile processing.

The company’s strategy is to come up with enzymes that can replace traditional chemicals used in industries, which are often deleterious to the environment.
