Aurionpro selected as Haryana Roadways’ e-ticketing partner

IT services provider Aurionpro said it has won a “strategic order” from Haryana State Transport Department — the biggest operator of bus services in the state — to implement an automatic fare collection system on a revenue share basis.

The system will be ‘open loop’, which means that it will not issue its own tokens, but will leverage either an existing or a multi-use mechanism of payment, such as mobile apps, NFC, credit cards and so on.

Given that Aurionpro has tied up with AU Small Finance Bank as a partner to implement the contract, it is likely that the system may work on cards issued by the bank.

The total order value will be more than Rs. 40 Crores and will be spread over the tenure of five years, the company added.

Further details on the implementation mechanism were not revealed.

HSTD has a fleet of 3488 buses and luxury buses, operated through 24 depots, and sees more than 40 crore passengers annually.

The project will be on a revenue share basis and will be delivered on build, own, operate and transfer model with minimum guaranteed revenue assured.

“In recent times, with the successful implementation of AFC system at some large projects like Nagpur, Noida and NCT, Delhi, Aurionpro has established itself as a market leader in India,” the company claimed.

“There is an accelerated push from the governments for the contactless and environment friendly transport ecosystem and we are proud to be the preferred partner of the transport agencies in this drive.

“This win is of special importance as it strengthens our position in the region. We are encouraged with the support and trust reposed in us and confident of for more such wins in future.”

Aurionpro employs more than 1,200 domain and technology experts across the world and caters to BFSI, telecom and logistics industries.
