A week after announcing its a substantial, Rs 1,035 cr contract to build viaducts for Indore Metro Rail, state-owned Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd said it has won yet another contract worth Rs 382 cr from Indore Metro to build seven metro stations.
The contract includes the construction of the stations as well as the viaduct portions within the stations and transition spans on either side of the stations.
RVNL will also build the station entry and exit structures, complete electrical and mechanical works and so on associated with these stations.
The seven stations are ISBT/MR 10 flyover, Chandragupta Square, Hira Nagar, Bapat Square, Meghdoot Garden, Vijay Nagar Square and Radisson Square.
Last week’s order involved the design and construction of elevated viaducts connecting various depots leading up to interface location, nine elevated metro rail stations including all civil, structural, roof structure, mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) works.
Rail Vikas Nigam Limited is listed subsidiary of Indian Railways focused on rail infrastructure construction. Many of Indian Railways’ own projects are carried out by RVNL.
The company is currently building dozens of bridges and tracks for Indian Railways, and has several special purpose vehicles carrying out project specific works, such as Krishnapatanam Railway Co Ltd and Kutch Railway Co Ltd.
It was launched launched in January 2003 as a 100% owned PSU of the Ministry of Railway.
