Specialty chemicals maker Anupam Rasayan said it has signed a preliminary, Rs 145 cr supply agreement with an existing European customer “which is one of the top ten multinational company across the globe”.
The company did not name the client or the molecule to be supplied, but said the specialty chemical is related to life sciences.
Anupam Rasayan’s products are divided into two verticals: Life science related specialty chemicals — comprising products related to agrochemicals, personal care and pharmaceuticals, nad other specialty chemicals — comprising specialty pigment and dyes and polymer additives.
Managing Director Anand Desai said the deal represents a “breakthrough and the assurance of capability of proving in new lines of chemistry and making cost effective solutions” for customers in the life science segment.
“We highly appreciate the faith and confidence exhibited by this customer for selecting us as a partner to launch this new molecule…It affirms our dedication to the use of advanced technologies by our R&D and further strengthens our diversified product portfolio,” he added.

Anupam Rasayan operates six manufacturing facilities in Gujarat, with four facilities located at Sachin, Surat and two located at Jhagadia, Bharuch with an aggregate installed capacity of 26,989 MT.
