SpiceJet starts domestic sale, tickets start at Rs 1,299

A day after announcing international flight tickets starting at Rs 3,999, SpiceJet has announced a similar sale for the domestic market, with fares starting at Rs 1,299, including all levies.

The four-day sale launched today will be open till midnight, August 30th, 2019.

The travel period covered in this sale is till 31st March, 2020 and is valid only for travel on non-stop domestic flights on SpiceJet’s network.

Tickets for the sale can be booked on www.spicejet.com, on online travel portals, SpiceJet mobile app and through travel agents. Fares under this promo offer are refundable with normal cancellation charges, though changeable with a change in fee and fare difference.

“There is limited inventory under the offer, and seats will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. Sales fares are not applicable on group bookings and cannot be combined with any other offer,” the airline said.

The fares vary from sector to sector depending on the travel distance and flight schedules and timings are subject to regulatory approvals and change(s).

Debojo Maharshi, Chief Marketing Officer, SpiceJet, said the sale will help people make the most out of their holiday plans.

Yesterday, SpiceJet announced an international ticket sale, including flights Colombo from Chennai and Dhaka from Kolkata and Guwahati at Rs 3,999.

Under the same, tickets from Kochi to Male are available for as low as Rs 4299, Bangkok-Kolkata for Rs 4699, Dubai-Mumbai for Rs 5399, Mumbai-Bangkok for Rs 6899, Bangkok-Delhi for Rs 7199 among others.

SpiceJet did not specify sample rates under its domestic offer.

The move is part of the company’s attempts to overcome the impact of a slowing economy, and spur uptake.

SpiceJet has traditionally taken aggressive measures to ensure that all its seats are filled. The company has a unique record of posting occupancy rates of over 90% consecutively for five years.
