SpiceJet, India’s most aggressive low-cost airline, has announced cheap tickets for international flights from Aug 30 to Mar 31.
The all-inclusive one-way fares include Rs. 3999 for popular destinations such as Colombo from Chennai and Dhaka from Kolkata and Guwahati. Tickets from Kochi to Male are available for Rs 4299, Bangkok-Kolkata for Rs 4699, Dubai-Mumbai for Rs 5399, Mumbai-Bangkok for Rs 6899, Bangkok-Delhi for Rs 7199 among others.
“International holidays, especially during peak season, are always perceived to be a luxury and an expensive affair for Indian households,” said Debojo Maharshi, Chief Marketing Officer, SpiceJet,.
“We aim to break this notion and offer ticket prices for international holiday destinations like Bangkok, Colombo, Dhaka, Dubai and Male at rates which are close to domestic ticket prices. We expect the sale to make a valuable contribution in making successful international getaways for everyone looking for a festive holiday break.”
The five-day sale launched today will be open till midnight, August 30th 2019. The offer is valid only for travel on non-stop international flights on SpiceJet’s network.
Tickets for the sale can be booked on www.spicejet.com, on online travel portals, SpiceJet mobile app and through travel agents. Fares under this promo offer are refundable with normal cancellation charges, though changeable with a change in fee and fare difference.
There is limited inventory under the offer, and seats will be available on a first-come-first-served basis, the company added.
Sales fares are not applicable on group bookings and cannot be combined with any other offer.
SpiceJet operates 550 average daily flights to 62 destinations, including 52 domestic and 10 international ones. The airline has a fleet of 77 Boeing 737, 32 Bombardier Q-400s and three B737 freighters.
It has recently increased the number of flights by about 25% to cater to increased demand after the demise of Jet Airways.
