IGNOU extends application date for UG, PG and other courses to January end

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi has extended the last date to apply for its Master’s, Bachelor’s, Diploma and Certificate programs to Jan 31 for its January intake.

The University offers both short-term and long-term programmes leading to certificates, diplomas, advance diploma, associate degree and degree. Admissions are open twice a year.

Post graduate courses are offered in computer applications (MCA), rural development, tourism and travel Management, English, Hindi, Social Work (MSW), ohilosophy, economics, history, education and so on.

These courses have a duration of two years.

The Bachelor courses IGNOU offer include BA Tourism Studies, BCA, Bachelor of Social Work, BA in Library and Information Sciences and BCom.

India’s biggest open university also offers post-graduate diplomas of six-month duration in disaster management, Gandhi and peace studies, translation, etc.  

Diplomas are also offered in various fields such as early childhood care and education, nutrition & health education, Panchayat-level administration and development etc..

It also offers job-oriented certificate courses in power distribution management and information security. Post Graduate Certificate courses are offered in adult education, cyber law, patent practice and so on.

The University offers 23 PG courses for January 2019 intake. Students with appropriate qualifications could apply for 6 bachelor degree programmes,43 diploma programmes and 63 certificate courses.

Those who pursue their Masters with IGNOU are eligible for applying for admission in diploma and certificate courses.
