SPI Cinemas, a part of India’s largest multiplex chain PVR, has launched at Park Square Mall in Whitefield in Bengaluru.
The four-screen cinema is set on the third and fourth floors and can seat 696 people in total.
With the launch, PVR’s network now stands at 715 screens at 154 properties in 60 cities.
On the technological front, the property comes with Clarus XC silver screens from Harkness and digital projectors from Christie with 4K resolution and 3D technology.
It is also home to India’s second SLS ribbon technology — a new type of advanced speakers, as well as Dolby Atmos.
The ‘Aura’ also comes with a Gold Class, with its own lobby.
The food and beverage line up has been prepared by Michelin Star Chef Mickael Besse, and includes cold coffee, puff and donuts.
There will also be 20 automated self-service kiosks for food and beverage.
The property will also offer free wifi, chargers, pillow & duvet, spectacle cleaning and WhatsApp, PVR said.
“All of our brands have unique identities and we are happy to launch Aura in Bengaluru. This will mark our second cinema here and we look forward to welcoming you,” said Mr. Swaroop Reddy, President, SPI Cinemas.
PVR acquired SPI Cinemas earlier this year. SPI operates 71 screens under the brand names Sathyam, Escape, Palazzo, Le Reve, The Cinema, S2 Cinemas, Kripa and Aura, mostly in South India.
