Heavy machinery maker Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited said it won four orders for emission control equipment from power producer NTPC, worth about Rs 2,900 cr,
The orders involve the supply and installation of Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD) systems for control of SOx emissions at NTPC’s producing stations at North Karanpura, Mauda Stage-I, Barh Stage-I and Barh Stage-II.
BHEL said it has won FGD orders for 32 units so far, including 17 from NTPC and its joint ventures.
The company makes its FGD systems in technology collaboration with Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS), Japan.
The company is also a player in the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCRs) segment for controlling NOx emission and has technology collaboration with NANO Co. ltd., Republic of Korea.
The company has installed more than 183 GW of power capacity in India.
