Low-cost carrier SpiceJet said it will start new, daily flights from Hyderabad to Bangkok and Guwahati from Oct 10, becoming the first Indian airline to have a direct flight from Hyderabad to Bangkok, a popular holiday destination for Indians.
Before this, people using Indian flights had to use a connecting flight from Delhi while traveling to Bangkok.
It also announced promotional fares of Rs 10,001 from Hyderabad to Bangkok and Rs 8,316 for the return.
The flight to Guwahati will cost Rs 4,286, while the return will cost Rs 4,148.
Both routes will be serviced by Boeing aircrafts.
“Bangkok has always been one of the most preferred global destinations and the domestic addition reiterates our conviction in the potential of the north-eastern regions,” said Shilpa Bhatia, Chief Sales and Revenue Officer, SpiceJet, while explaining the move.
