Spicejet announces flights to Kanpur and Varanasi from Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata

SpiceJet, the most aggressive of India’s low-cost carriers, announced four new flights from Kanpur and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.

While the new flights connect Varanasi to Bangalore and Kolkata, Kanpur is being connected with Mumbai.

With this, said SpiceJet, it will be the first and only airline to offer daily direct flights on the routes of Mumbai-Kanpur and Kolkata-Kanpur.

It has announced an introductory price of Rs 3,899, including all taxes and levies, for flights between Bangalore and Varanasi, and Rs 4,199 on the Mumbai-Kanpur route, with return at Rs 4,099.

Similarly, tickets for Kolkata-Varanasi route are priced at Rs 3,899, and return at Rs 3,589. The Kolkata-Kanpur ticket has been priced at Rs 3,900, with return at Rs 3,299.

The shorter Kolkata-Varanasi route will be served by the smaller Bombardier Q400 plane, while the others will be serviced by Boeing aircraft.
