A chartered plane carrying four people crashed in Ghatkopar in Mumbai.
The crash took place on an under-construction building in Sarvodaya Society, near the telephone exchange in Ghatkopar West.
One person who was standing near the site has died.
The aircraft was on a test flight and had taken off from Juhu airport. There were two pilots and two technicians in the plane.
DGCA officials are on their way to the crash site.
The crash site was engulfed in flames, suggesting that chances of survivors are low.
Early reports suggest that the 12-seater, turbo-prop aircraft was owned by UI Aviation and was leased by a prominent Pan Parag company. Turbo-prop refers to a propeller driver aircraft.
The plane was sold by the UP government to the company four years ago.
It is not known whether it was sold after reaching end of life.
The crash took place at around 1:15 PM.
Both Mumbai Police and NDRF teams are on the location.
