Bajaj Auto has launched a new twin-brake variant of Pulsar 150, arguably the highest-selling ‘sports motorcycle’ in the country.
Much of the emphasis is in a sharper and sportier styling, along with the twin disc brake option.
This will be in addition to the existing single disc variant and will be priced at ₹78,016, ex showroom in Delhi.
The new model comes with a new colour and design scheme, split seats and split grab rails.
It also has a longer wheelbase, and wider and bigger rear tyres.
The new Pulsar 150 Twin disc will also equip significant improvements in noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) and a best in class 230 mm rear disc brake, the company claimed.
The engine remains the same and offers 14 PS of power and 13.4 Nm of torque. The new color combinations introduced are limited to Back Blue, Black Red and Black Chrome.
“Apart from the previous colour options of Pulsar 150, customers can now choose from 3 new color options exclusively available for the twin disc variant of the Pulsar 150,” Bajaj Auto said.
“While retaining the core, the new twin disc Pulsar 150 will offer contemporary option to motorcycle enthusiasts,” said Eric Vas, President Motorcycle Business.
He said the bike is aimed at those who don’t want to compromise on mileage, while looking for a sporty option.
Being the most affordable ‘sports bike’, Pulsar 150 is also the largest selling. It often competes with commuter bikes such as the Hero Splendor, and is often chosen by young buyers for its sportier looks compared to regular commuter biks.
