Aurionpro Solutions said it has won a Rs 180 cr order from the Rajasthan government to create a 3D model of Jaipur city as part of converting the state capital into a smart city.
The company said will play the role of a systems integrator and use Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE software to create the model.
The model will primarily support the city planning and administration initiatives as well as aid the research and development initiatives, the company said.
“The 3D project will create a ‘digital twin’ – a digital replica of physical assets, processes and systems that can be used for various purposes – of Jaipur,” said Sanjay Bali, EVP and Head for Government Business, Aurionpro.
The company said it will be the country’s first “robust 3D city model” that includes 3D maps. Rajasthan will also become the first state in the country to launch the 3D model in a geographic information system (GIS) environment, it added.
This 3D system will eventually be made part of a unified state-wide GIS-enabled decision support system, the company added.
The Jaipur Smart City project covers 3,000 sq km of Jaipur region in the three towns of Jaipur, Bagru and Chomu.
The project will ease disaster recovery and tourism planning, execution of large-scale projects and town planning.
