Ramco Systems wins cloud ERP contract from big Philippines construction firm

Ramco Systems said First Balfour, one of the largest construction and engineering firms in the Philippines, has deployed its ERP software to manage its entire business operations.

“Deployed over nine months, Ramco ERP Suite has enabled First Balfour automate and streamline its equipment rental management, inventory, supply chain and asset management, along with finance, accounting and statutory reporting functions,” the Chennai-based company.

ERP or Enterprise Resource Planning is the core software that lies at the heart of a company, and used to be supplied by big players like Oracle and SAP. However, smaller players like Ramco Systems have started gaining momentum due to the value they provide compared to the overall cost and the ease of deployment.

“The VIP markets in APAC – Vietnam, Indonesia and Philippines have seen tremendous growth in the recent past,” said Virender Aggarwal, CEO, Ramco Systems.

“The successful go-live at First Balfour underscores our position as one of Southeast Asia’s foremost enterprise software providers,” he added.

First Balfour is a major player in power and energy facilities construction in Philippines and makes transport infrastructures, water utilities, and specialized buildings.
