Wallet players like Paytm, Mobikwik, PhonePe and AmazonPay have come up with cash back offers for Reliance Jio users who want to take advantage of the Rs 399 recharge scheme valid till today midnight.
Last week, India’s largest wireless Internet provider said anyone recharging with Rs 399 to get 84 days of ‘free’ usage, will also get eight coupons of Rs 50 each, which can then be used over the next eight months to buy its services.
Thanks to the high popularity of the offer and Jio’s services in general, mobile wallet companies have come up with their own offers on top what the operator is giving.
The biggest Diwali offer is from Mobikwik, which is giving Rs 300 cash back — as balance — for any new customer signing up to make the recharge.
To be eligible, the user must not have used Mobikwik before. If he or she is an existing user, he or she gets only Rs 100 cash back.
It should be noted that the balance is provided in the form of Mobikwik ‘supercash’. You can only use 10% of your supercash balance in a single transaction.
AmazonPay and PhonePe are offering Rs 100 cashback to new users. For existing customers, AmazonPay will credit Rs 20 as cash back and PhonePe will give Rs 30. There are no restrictions on how much of the balance can be used in subsequent payments.
PayTM, the biggest player, is offering Rs 15 cash back. It will also give some discounts for people who want to book movies, flights or hotels.
Jio’s cashback offer is available only till today.
From tomorrow, the company will implement new schemes that come with a 15% price increase.
