Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi indicated that it is going to launch the Redmi Note 4X, the slightly modified version of the ‘non-X’ model, in India on Friday.
It released a teaser video indicating the launch (see below).
The model was launched in China in February, and was priced largely at the same level as the non-X version.
The 2+16 GB version was priced at around Rs 6,700, while the 3+32 GB was priced at Rs 8,600.
Another 4+64 GB variant was subsequently unveiled at around Rs 10,500.
These are exactly the price points at which the Redmi 4, which was launched earlier this year, sells at in India.
The earlier phone is priced at Rs 6,999, Rs 8,999 and Rs 10,999 for each of these versions in India.
There is practically no difference between the different versions, except for the high-end 64-GB variant, which looks different from others.
The 4X was introduced in Pakistan last month.
