SpiceJet announced its ‘12th Anniversary Sale’, offering one-way base fares starting as low as Rs 12 plus taxes for travel on its domestic and international network.
“The starting base fare of Rs 12, excluding applicable taxes and surcharge, is applicable on all direct domestic and international nonstop flights and would be available on a first come first served basis,” the airline said.
A quick look revealed that the Rs 12 fare is not available on all sectors. Taxes and surcharges usually range from Rs 1500 to Rs 2000 per ticket.
The offer is applicable only on non-stop flights and fares vary from sector to sector depending on the travel distance and flight schedules.
The offer will be open till midnight, 28th May, 2017 whereas the travel period covered is from 26th June 2017 to 24th March 2018.
“Customers availing the 12th anniversary sale offer and booking a SpiceJet ticket during stipulated booking period will be eligible for the ‘SpiceJet’s 12 Saal Bada Dhamaal’ Lucky Draw offer contest,” the company said.
The airline will be drawing the names of winners for each reward categories slated to receive exciting prizes such as – free international SpiceJet flight ticket, free domestic SpiceJet flight ticket, Spice Vacation’s hotel voucher and so on.
Tickets for this sale can be booked on the company’s website, on online travel portals, SpiceJet mobile app and through travel agents. However, airport counters will not provide such tickets.
Only statutory taxes are refundable on such bookings, it added, though the routes can be changed after paying a fee.
“There is limited inventory under the offer, and seats will be available on First-Come-First-Served basis,” SpiceJet added.
Sales fares are not applicable on group bookings and cannot be combined with any other offer.
The offer is in line with SpiceJet’s strategy of giving aggressive discounts to generate high level of social media buzz to help the company’s market itself.
