At Rs 5,999, iBall Andi Wink is cheapest VoLTE phone with 2GB RAM

iball-andi-wink-volteAdding to the number of choices for entry-level VoLTE phones in India, iBall has launched its Andi Wink 4G model with 2 GB of RAM.

Most phones in the Rs 5,000-6,000 category tend to come with only 1 GB of RAM, and the new model is a welcome break from the trend.

Rival Intex recently launched its Aqua Strong 5.1 which is priced Rs 1,0000 lower (at Rs 4,999) and comes with similar specifications. However, that model has only 1 GB of RAM.

Similarly, InFocus M370i, another big hitter in this price band, also carries the same 5k pricetag, but like the Intex model, has only 1 GB of RAM. The phone also has a 2 GB version, which comes at a price of Rs 6,199.

The new model, therefore, is likely to appeal to those who want to future proof their phone by having at least 2 GB of RAM. Phones with 1 GB of RAM could become laggy after 6 months to a year of use due to the proliferation of high-memory-footprint apps.

Disappointingly though, the iBall model comes with a poor 854*480 resolution. The M370i, however, has an HD display, which has 10 lakh dots on its screen compared to 4 lakh dots on the other two models mentioned above.

Here is some description about the model from the company.

“The new generation phone sports the powerful Quad Core processor and Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, delivering the optimum balance of performance and power. With 2GB RAM and 16 GB built-in storage which is expandable upto 32GB with the Micro-SD card, your phone brings more space for all your photos, videos and music.

“Not to miss, its superfast 4G speed connectivity, iBall Andi Wink 4G enables you to deliver jobs quicker & faster, all at lightning speed.

“The ultimate showstopper comes with 5MP AF Rear Camera and also 2MP Front Camera with LED Flash for Video Chatting. Be it the picture perfect selfie moments or more, be the ultimate super snapper with the power of powerhouse at 2300mAh super battery all day long.”

“The device is built-in with GPS and A-GPS capabilities for easy navigation and location-tracking. The device is additionally loaded with several connectivity options namely Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB OTG enabling to share and work hassle-free. Another notifying feature is its call recording feature that allows users to record conversations. Breathe new life with iBall Andi Wink 4G, which is also bundled with free protective cover with no compromise on good looks. The product is already available with leading retail stores across India.”
