SpiceJet said it was offering one-way fares as low as Rs.399 plus surcharge and taxes as part of its independence day offer.
International fares start at Rs 2999 base fare (surcharge and taxes extra as applicable) for non-stop direct flights, it added.
The three day sale launched today will be open till midnight 11th August.
Travel period covered is from 18th August to 30th September, 2016.
The popular routes on offer at base fare starting Rs 399 in the sale are Ahmedabad – Mumbai, Amritsar – Srinagar, Bengaluru – Chennai, Bengaluru – Kochi, Coimbatore – Hyderabad, Jammu – Srinagar, Mumbai – Goa and Mumbai – Hyderabad amongst others on the domestic sector.
Meanwhile, on the international network, the base fare starting at Rs 2999 is available for Dubai – Delhi and Dubai – Mumbai routes. The airline is also offering attractive fares on various direct flights across the network.
Tickets for this new sale can be booked on the company’s website, online travel portals, SpiceJet mobile app and through travel agents. Tickets under this offer are refundable (only statutory taxes refundable), and also changeable, with a change fee and fare difference.
“There is limited inventory under the offer, and seats will be available on first-come, first-served basis,” SpiceJet said.
The airline has been traditionally the most aggressive in terms of cutting prices, though in recent months, AirAsia has also been offering similar cut-throat deals. Partly with the aid of such discounts and offers, SpiceJet managed to climb to the top of the Indian aviation section in terms of occupancy rates.
Sales fares are not applicable on group bookings and cannot be combined with any other offer. The offer is applicable only on non-stop flights and fares vary from sector to sector depending on the travel distance and flight schedules, it added.
SpiceJet has been registering the highest load factor of more than 90% consistently for the last 14 months making it the most preferred airline.
