Lenovo said it will launch two new phones today, catching everyone by surprise as the company was expected to reveal only the K5 Note today.
K5 Note is the third in the K5 series. The phone is priced at Rs 11,999 for the 3 GB version and Rs 13,499 for the 4 GB variant.
The sale will start in the night of Aug 3 at 11:59 PM.

The second model is the higher RAM version of the K5 Plus, the 5-inch sibling of the K5 Note. The K5 Plus comes with Snapdragon 616 chipset and a full-HD display.
The 3GB version of the phone will be priced at Rs 8,499, while the 2 GB version is available at Rs 7,999.
Lenovo said it is now the No. 1 brand in online smartphone market in India, and the No. 2 brand among 4G handsets, possibly after Samsung.
Including both online and offline, Lenovo is No. 3 by value and No. 4 by number of devices sold.
Lenovo has sold 30 lakh K series phones over the last one year, the Chinese company said.
Lenovo said it believes that going forward, the industry is going to be more and more about virtual reality and less about smartphones.
Flipkart, Lenovo’s distribution partner, said it will take the percentage of smartphones delivered in one day to 70% in three months from 50% at present.
The online reseller said Lenovo is “by far” the most searched smartphone brand on its website.
