SHOCKING: TCL, Amazon launch India’s cheapest TVs; 4K UHD model at just Rs 32k

TCL, one of the world’s top TV brands, has entered India with a bang, launching India’s cheapest 4K UHD TV at just Rs 31,990.

The TCL 43-inch P1 Ultra HD TV is cheaper by nearly Rs 10,000 compared to Micromax 42C0050UHD, currently the most attractive value-for-money UHD TV in India. The Micromax model is priced at Rs 41,898.

The TCL 43-inch P1, as the name implies, is also slightly bigger (43 in vs 42 in for Micromax) despite costing less. The TV is available only on Amazon.in.

tcl-562TCL also launched three full-HD TVs with sizes 32 inch, 40 inch and 48 inch.

The smallest one, 32-inch D2900, is priced at Rs 13,990 — making it one of the cheapest LED TVs from any big brand in India.

The third model launched today was 40-inch TV priced at Rs 20,990. Micromax also offers a 40-inch FHD TV for the same price.

The fourth model launched today holds the distinction of having a curved panel. This 48-inch, FHD model has been priced at Rs 37,990 — making it the cheapest curved TV in India.

Surpisingly, the TVs will be brought in fully assembled into India, which increases the duties and taxes that the company has to pay. TCL said it is doing so to ensure perfect quality.

“We highly value the Indian market and expect to bring our premium products and services to the Indian consumers. In order to guarantee the best product quality, TCL will export complete TV sets to India even though it means higher cost compared with local assembly,” said Bobbie Zhang, General Manager of Strategic Markets Sales Center.

TCL also launched a smartphone that will compete with Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 3 and LeEco’s Le 2. The TCL 562 smartphone will be available at a special launch Price of Rs. 10990 on Amazon.in.

“The next generation TV Series which aims to bring revolutionary technology will be made available on pre-booking and registration commences from July 28, 2016.”

TCL said it will have five television models & two smartphone in India starting first week of August.

TCL D2900 series

This LED TV lines, which are unveiled today in Bangalore, includes two models in 40-inch and 32-inch screen sizes.

Both 32’(81cm) and 40”(100cm) LED Television from TCL are fitted with 2 USB and HDMI ports for better connectivity.

The TVs also have Dolby surround sound with integrated speakers.

TCL P1 curved TV (Full HD)

The 48’ (121cm) Curved Full HD Smart TV comes with a slim and lean design, with an overall thickness of 69.6mm, the thinnest part is only 12mm.

“The latest generation of TCL’s LED backlight creates a milestone in LED backlight technology with a dramatic enhancement of color gamut and dynamic contrast ratio, the picture has never been as realistic,” TCL said.

It also contains upgraded functions like screen mirroring, built-in-Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi direct and App Store.

The TCL will also offer nScreen application that lets you use your smartphone or tablet as a remote control.

“Just connect your Smart TV to your smartphone or tablet by Wi-Fi and you’ll be able to share photos and videos to view on the superior TCL C48 screen.”

The model also has built-in Dolby Digital AC3, and a Dolby Prologic II surround sound processor.

TCL’s app-store offers video-on-demand, to social, gaming, and music. Users can also record and play back the programs.

TCL 562 Smartphone

The handset is powered by the Octa Core Helio P10 MT6755M Chipset processor and Android 6.0. It comes with 3GB of RAM and a standard 32GB of internal memory.

It packs a 2960 mAh battery and a full-HD “Zero Distortion” screen with IPS technology.

On the front is a 5MP wide view angle lens and at the back is a 13MP AF camera with LED dual tone flash and 0.3 second ultra-fast focus.

The metallic phone also comes with fingerprint authentication
