Reliance Communications’ 4G upgrade has so far been rolled out in nine circles, and will reach the other states by around the 10th or 15th of this month.
The nine circles where the upgrade offer is in effect are Mumbai, Maharashtra and Goa, UP East, UP West, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Telengana, Delhi and Kolkata.
In all these circles, the RCom is offering free 10 GB of 4G data as well as free voice minutes for those who move from its CDMA service to its 4G+GSM service.
To migrate, a user must get the first recharge done. The recharge amount varies from circle to circle (see the chart.
After recharging, send an SMS ‘4G 19 digit SIM number’ to 1299. You can also call on 1299 from your CDMA mobile and enter your new 19-digit 4G SIM number. You will get a confirmation SMS about your 4G SIM upgrade.
To upgrade a data card, you can get instructions from our earlier story.
