In a rather surprising turn of events, the 16 GB versions of Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 3 smartphones continued to be available on Amazon for much longer this time, indicating that people are unwilling to compromise on specifications.
Normally, the 16 GB version vanishes in less than 3 seconds.
Even after nearly 30 mins, only about 30% of the total 16 GB stocks were sold.
Part of the reason may be that Amazon was also selling the 32 GB version — which offers twice the storage and 50% more application memory — for Rs 2,000 extra.
Meanwhile, Mi India’s official store showed a ‘sold out’ sign on the 16 GB version even when the model was available on Amazon, indicating that Amazon had more phones in stock that Mi’s official store.
However, for those looking to buy the 32 GB Note 3, it was more disappointments in store as stocks ran out in the blink of an eye on both websites.
The 2 PM sale was part of Mi India’s Fan Festival today.
The last sale in the series will be held at 5 PM today on Mi India’s official website.
In case you are unlucky at that time too, you will have to register for the next sale that happens at 2 pm next Wednesday.
The 20 Ah powerbank was also sold out very fast. The item is priced at Rs 1,699.
