OnMobile, BSNL renew ringback tone deal

onmOnMobile Global Limited, which provides ringback tone and other value added services for telecom, said Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd has renewed a contract for the provision of ring back tones in South & East Zone with an option to extend for the 4th year.

“As per this agreement OnMobile will continue to provide Ring back Tone customers in Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (A Govt. of India Undertaking) in South & East zones with innovative ways to customize their calling experience.”

Ring back tone is the song or music that people who call you get to hear instead of the tring tring.

OnMobile, the world’s biggest provider of such songs, is trying to diversify into other areas as it has found it difficult to keep growing due to saturation.

OnMobile, headquartered in Bangalore, India, and with offices in all regions of the world, delivers over 500 million music plays daily to mobile customers worldwide.

Based on current deployments, OnMobile has an addressable base of more than 1.5 billion mobile users across several geographies.
