Meizu, which had come under criticism for not setting up service centers in all major cities in India, has now launched a network of around 40 such centers.
It also launched a toll-free customer care hotline number – 1800 307 099 25.
“The customer care hotline will work from 9 am to 6 pm Monday to Saturday,” the company said.
Meizu also gave customer care and support email as well – csindia@meizu.com.
It unveiled four service centers in NCR-Delhi and two each in Mumbai and Bangalore. It has also set up support centers in nearly all states in the country, including Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Gujarat, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Punjab, Rajasthan and so on.
Meizu was expected to launch a list of service centers last week, when it launched its flagship MX5 model in India. However, for some reason, the announcement was delayed.
The MX5 was the third model to be launched in India by the Chinese firm. Other models include the M1 Note and the M2 Note. Meizu is also expected to launch the M2 as well in the country.
The company has got a decent response from the Indian market and has sold a few tens of thousands of phones since entering the market earlier this year.
The launch of service centers is expected to boost the sales of its MX5 – the most value-for-money flagship in India. The phone offers a finely crafted all-metal body, fingerprint scanner, a 5.5-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display and dual-SIM support for just Rs 19,999.
