The Lenovo K3 Note has got off to a blazing start in India, with the phablet going sold out within minutes of the flash sale going live at 3 pm today on Flipkart.

According to unconfirmed reports, nearly 50,000 units of the phone were sold out in around 5 seconds.

In comparison, the earlier record was for 1 lakh Lenovo A6000 Plus to be sold out in 15 minutes.

According to Lenovo, a total of 5 lakh users had registered for the flash sale today.

Unlike in the past, when only 1 in 10 or 20 managed to get in-demand phones, this time, the ‘win ratio’ seems to be higher, going by our poll on the subject.

That would largely be because of the high number of phones that were on offer.

Flipkart will start dispatching the phones today, and people who chose the one-day delivery option will get the phones tomorrow.

The flash sale has established Lenovo as the undisputed leader of the value-for-money market in India – a position that was enjoyed by Xiaomi till now.

While there are rumors and suggestions that it would cut the price of its A7000 model, Lenovo has, for now made the older phone available on demand.

Some who failed to get the K3 Note may choose to buy the A7000, which is a considerably inferior phone in terms of specifications, though it is only 10% cheaper compared to the K3 Note.
