The 4G version of Samsung’s Galaxy Core Prime entry-level smartphone is priced around Rs 11,000 in India, according to a distributor. The phone is unofficially available in India at around the same price band, according to him.

The Core Prime LTE is a six month old phone that has been available in the overseas markets for quite some time. In India, the company had launched a 3G-only version, which is currently selling for Rs 8,300.

The 4G phone is based on Snapdragon 410 platform and has a quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 processor at its heart, supported by 1 GB RAM.

Internal memory is 8 GB and camera resolution is 8 MP and 5 MP.

Display resolution is poor, at 0.41 megapixels, and the size is only 4.5 inches. The Yu Yuphoria, priced at Rs 6,999, offers most of the above specifications and a 5-inch, 1 MP (HD) display. Another strong contender is the Huawei Honor 4X, which saw a price cut to 9,999 recently.
