Photography oriented OPPO N3 has been launched in India at a price of Rs 42,990.
It comes with 5 optical lenses and has a (sensor) pixel size of 1.34 microns and a 16 MP camera.
“The uber stylish OPPO N3 has a motorized swivel camera with PI 2.0+ technology that can track objects as they move, and can rotate up to 206 degrees. The Smartphone is equipped with a multi-frame synthesis super-sampling technique that can combine multiple low resolution RAW images into an ultra-high resolution picture with greater details,” OPPO said.
OPPO is one of the late entrants from China into the Indian market.
Its products have not been as low-priced as those of its fellow Chinese competitors, and have therefore failed to generate as much of a buzz as those of Xiaomi and OnePlus.
The N3 comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display and 2 GB of RAM.
Disappointingly, the processor is a 32-bit 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 Quad-Core unit (MSM8974AA), which is one generation older than the latest Snapdragon 810.
However, the phone is not aimed at those looking for a phone, but at those who want to have a great camera-cum-phone.
Other qualities of the camera include a double exposure function that provides transparency in the images both in first and second photo that will be layered over the first.
“After you have taken the pictures, PI 2.0+ will automatically merge the two images into one,” OPPO said. “Without any tedious post-editing, the OPPO N3 enables you to appear in multiple locations in the same picture easily.”
The camera will rotate automatically while using the auto panorama mode.
“Before using the feature, choose 3 to 4 segments within the 206° view of the N3’s camera. After the camera has finished scanning the first segment, you can move out of the focus area and into the next segment before the camera takes the remaining shots in sequential order.”
