OPPO,the Chinese brand of smartphones, said it will offer special discounts on several of its phones through February to celebrate the anniversary of its launch in India.
The extent of the discounts was not revealed, and a check on the Flipkart website revealed nothing.
The company has 12 phones in India, including flagship models such as the N3, R5 and Find 7. Three of them support 4G.
“The anniversary offer can be availed throughout February. Customers looking to buy any of the 5 select models of OPPO smartphone can visit any of the retail outlets as well as online on Flipkart and Amazon,” the company said.
Currently OPPO is present in 5000 retail outlets, in more than 20 major cities across India as well as major sites online.
OPPO also plans on opening exclusive showrooms and stores as a part of their growth roadmap in India.
Oppo also recently launched N3, which has the highest resolution camera in mobile phone history.
OPPO also launched what the company claims is the world’s first rotating camera smartphone. The 13-megapixel camera smartphone features a 206° rotation, that securely locks at any angle. This was followed by the recent launch of OPPO N3 where the rotating camera has been upgraded from a manual rotating camera to an auto-rotating camera.
“To date we’ve been focused on setting up the business in India, increasing our network and availability across the country and we’ll continue that progress in the next five years,” said Tom Lu, CEO, OPPO Mobiles India.
