Chennai-headquartered construction company RPP Infra Projects said it received a new order worth Rs 47.2 crores from Government of India owned construction and manufacturing firm Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) for structural works of their Coal Handling Plant & Ash-Handling Plant in Tuticorin, Chennai.
The project will be completed within 24 months.
RPP lnfra’s order book at the end of FY19 stood at Rs 1,944 crores. The company said that it aims to secure an order inflow of Rs 1,200 crore in FY20 and is already at L1 (most preferred) status for projects worth Rs 480 crore.
RPP Infra Projects is engaged in the business of construction and infrastructure development, such as civil construction work for irrigation and water supply projects and power plants and construction of civil infrastructure for residential and commercial structures for infrastructure projects, roads and bridges.
The company has operations in India, Sri Lanka, Mauritius and Gabon, Central Africa.
Established in 1988, RPP Infra Projects undertakes civil construction, building projects and irrigation and water supply projects; and infrastructure construction works, including roads, buildings, industrial structures, and power and irrigation projects.
It also provides infrastructure projects related consultancy services; and procures, sells, and supplies electricity from various sources, including coal and thermal energy, solar systems, wind farms, wind mills, bio-mass, bio-gas, etc.
In addition, RPP Infra Projects acts as a distributor, agent, trader, merchant, contractor, broker, and dealer in various merchandise and articles, including clearing agents, freight contractors, forwarding agents, licensing agents, and general brokers, as well as carries commercial business.
