TCS wins deal to provide digital infrastructure to UK insurer Ageas

IT firm Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) said it has been selected by one of the largest insurers in the United Kingdom, Ageas UK, to transform its digital infrastructure.

Headquartered in Brussels, Ageas is Belgium’s largest insurer and operates in 14 countries worldwide.

As per the deal, TCS will help Ageas UK to consolidate data centres, manage a 24×7 command centre for lT operations, provide self-service tools for end users, build a digital workplace, and deploy cloud-based solutions.

TCS said it will use automation and artificial intelligence (Al) technologies to reduce operating risk, improve speed-to market, increase productivity and deliver business value.

“We want to make insurance easy and straightforward for our customers, which in today’s environment encompasses investing in newer technology, focusing on digital channels and eliminating complexity”, said Mark Collins, CIO, Ageas UK.

Ageas UK, part of Belgian multinational insurance company Ageas Group, provides insurance to more than five million customers. lt offers car and home, travel and small business insurance through brokers, partners and its own brands.

Headquartered in Mumbai, TCS, part of India’s largest conglomerates Tata Group is currently the world’s second largest IT services provider. It operates in more than 46 countries and offer consulting services in the various areas like IT, business and technology and engineering.

It is India’s largest private sector employer, and has nearly 3 lakh employees in India.
