L&T’s hydrocarbon engineering business bags orders worth over Rs 1,000 crore

Infrastructure major Larsen and Toubro (L&T) said its hydrocarbon engineering business has received orders worth over Rs 1,000 crore across various segments.

The Modular Fabrication business has secured a contract for process and piperack modules for a process plant, which includes procurement, fabrication, pre-commissioning and load-out of the modules, it said.

The contract shall be executed from L&T’s modular fabrication facility at Kattupalli near Chennai.

The business also secured orders for equipment fabrication for a refinery in Oman. The orders shall be executed from L&T’s facility in Oman.

The construction services business of L&T hydrocarbon engineering also secured an order for additional works for a refinery project in India.

L&T’s Hydrocarbon business is organized under offshore, onshore, construction services, modular fabrication and engineering services verticals. It delivers ‘design to build’ engineering and construction solutions across the hydrocarbon spectrum.

Last week, it had received orders worth over Rs 2,500 crore from Tawfiq Coke Products, Oman.

L&T, headquartered in Mumbai is one among the largest multinational firms and construction company in the country today with operations in more than 30 countries worldwide.
