Skills and talent development company NIIT said it will provide sourcing and vendor management services to Netherlands-based lighting company Signify.
Signify, formerly known as Philips Lightning, is one of the leading manufacturer of various lightning products.
The company employs 32,000 people in 70 countries and sells its products and services in more than 180 countries.
Under the agreement, NIIT will provide managed learning services, which include sourcing of learning suppliers, contracting, quality control, performance management, and payment of vendors.
Training of partners is an increasingly crucial part of the business for Signify as it moves into areas such as smart lighting, which require a higher degree of expertise and skill to deploy.
The new service will be executed in a phased rollout manner and will start with the Benelux region-comprising of Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
Signify said the move will enhance the quality and optimization of its learning initiatives.
Established in 1981, NIIT offers multi-disciplinary learning management and training delivery solutions to corporations, institutions, and individuals in over 40 countries.
