Infrastructure firm KEC International Ltd said that it received orders worth Rs 1,323 crores across its various businesses.
The RPG Group company’s transmission and distribution business bagged orders worth Rs 287 crore across India, UAE and the United States for various projects, including the extension of a 765 KV Geographic Information System (GIS) substation, a 132 KV substation project in UAE and orders from US-based SAE towers.
The firm’s railway business secured orders for various electrification works in India worth Rs 644 crore.
While KEC’s civil business bagged orders worth Rs 91 crore, its Smart Infra arm received orders worth Rs 233 crore. The firm’s cable business also received orders worth Rs 68 crore.
Speaking on the orders, Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO, KEC International Ltd said it was the second substation order for the company from UAE. “[It] strengthens our substation portfolio in the Middle East market.”
He also said that the orders in Railways will help the company to establish leadership in this sector.
“We are particularly enthused by the orders secured by our Smart Infra business in the core Smart City segment. These order wins give us confidence that Smart Infra business can become a significant part of KEC’s overall business portfolio going forward,” he added.
