Larsen and Toubro (L&T) said it received a new order from the Oil and Gas Corporation (ONGC) worth between Rs 1,000 crore and Rs 2,500 crore for the development of a marginal field associated with the Mumbai High oil field.
Cluster-8 of Mumbai High is located about 210 km to the west of Mumbai city.
The project includes the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Commissioning (EPCIC) of three well platforms, one bridge connected well head cum riser platform, nearly 59 kilometre-long pipelines, three clamp-on structures and modifying the already existing two platforms.
L&T, headquartered in Mumbai is one among the largest multinational firms and construction company in the country today with operations in more than 30 countries worldwide.
ONGC is India’s largest producer of hydrocarbons.
