TVS Motor Company has introduced yet another version to its successful Jupiter line of scooters.
Jupiter Grande, priced at Rs 56,000 ex-showroom in Delhi, has a few functional extras like an LED front-lamp that saves power and fuel, adjustable mono-shock suspension at the back and a new seat.
The new model is priced at Rs 56,000 in Delhi ex-showroom, while the disc-brake variant will be priced Rs 4,000 extra.
On the downside, the prices are on the higher side compared to the existing Jupiter and Jupiter classic, which start at around Rs 50,000 and Rs 52,000 respectively.
TVS, despite being a late-entrant to the space, has managed to overtake all other players to become the No.2 brand, behind Honda Activa, which it overtakes in certain key areas and specifications.
The Chennai-based company said it has sold 2.5 million (25 lakh) units of the scooter.
Launched in 2013, TVS Jupiter is also the fastest scooter to reach the 1 million sales mark, 30 months after its launch.
