Eros International Media, one of India’s leading content producers, said it has formed a joint venture company with V Vijayendra Prasad, the writer of popular movies like Baahubali, Magadheera and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Eros International said Prasad has already penned down 10 stories that will be converted into films by the new company.
“To bring these stories to life, the joint venture has also identified 8 to 10 leading directors under its umbrella that will be announced soon.
“These include a family action thriller by acclaimed Telugu director Sukumar, another thriller in Tamil and Telugu by S.S. Kanchi and Sriman making his Hindi directorial debut under the joint venture,” the Mumbai-based company said.
The joint venture will develop scripts, produce & distribute films and web-series in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil languages.
Eros and Vijayendra Prasad had last worked together on Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
“His stories coupled with the vision of some of the best directors in the country being added to our content offering will strengthen our position as the destination for the finest cinematic experience,” said Sunil Lulla, Managing Director, Eros International Media Ltd.

Eros is one of the few film production companies that have successfully navigated the move to the Internet age.
It acquires, co-produces and distributes Indian films across all formats such as cinema, television and digital new media and has eperience of over three decades distribution of Indian cinema.
It has built up a library of 2,000 films, including Hindi, Tamil, and other regional language films.
