PVR Cinemas, India’s largest theater chain, has launched a new loyalty program to retain, attract and reward high-value customers.
The program, known as PVR Privilege, will entitle its members to get reward points for all their spends, and these points can in turn be used to buy tickets and food.
The program offers reward points on each purchase of tickets or food and beverages and automated conversion of reward points into vouchers that can be used to pay for tickets and F&B.
Members will get “personalized offers and services at cinemas” and bonus points during special festive occassions.
There will also be free upgrades and special days for members.
The joining fee will be reimbursed in the form of food & beverage vouchers, said the company.
It expects to be able to increase sales by sending targeted messages and offers to these moviegoers to tempt them into the theaters.
Customers can in turn remain updated about the latest happenings, movies and offers.
“We are targeting a brisk growth for the PVR Privilege program over the next 2 years. The growth of the Privilege database will allow us to reach more moviegoers than ever before, with greater efficiency and precision,” said Kamal Gianchandani, Chief of Strategy, PVR Limited.
PVR is the largest movie chain in India with 600 screens at 131 properties in 51 cities (18 states and 1 Union Territory) and sells about 75 million tickets per year.
Redemption is possible both at the box office as well as online and on the app.
