Two- and three-wheeler maker Bajaj Auto said its sales volumes for the month of May fell 10% compared to last year to 3.13 lakh units.
Motorcycle sales fell by 10% to 2.77 lakh.
Domestic motorcycle sales fell by 13% to 1.57 lakh, while exports fell 5% to 1.21 lakh.
This is contrast to April, when exports had grown strongly, but domestic sales had fallen by nearly 20%.
Three-wheeler sales in May fell 9% in total.
Domestic sales of three-wheelers fell 28% on year, which is an improvement compared to April, when they had fallen by nearly 40%.
However, exports of autorickshaws jumped 20% in May.
