PVR enters its 49th city with 3-screen multiplex at Moradabad

PVR Ltd, India’s largest chain of film exhibition halls, said it had entered its 49th city with the opening of a new multiplex in Moradabad.

The three-screen, 631-seat facility was opened inside the newly opened Parsvnath Mall. The facility marks the 11th city in Uttar Pradesh that is home to a PVR complex.

With this, the total number of screens operated by the company has risen to 572 and the total number of facilities to 124.

It said it the first auditorium will have recliner seats “providing an extra level of comfortable seating”. It also comes with 7.1 Digital surround sound and 2K projection system and an “ultra-high brightness” screen.

The new property is situated across an area of 17,000 sq ft.

“Moradabad is a promising market for business expansion when it comes to Tier 2 cities,” said Gautam Dutta, CEO, PVR Cinemas.

The Parsvnath Mall at Kanth Road, Moradabad is spread over 1.17 acres with a built up area of 1.29 lakh sq. ft.
