Infosys said one of its board members has resigned for personal reasons.
Carol M. Browner was an independent director of the company. She has served as director of the White House Office of Energy and Climate Change Policy in the Obama administration from 2009 to 2011.
She is a Distinguished Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress and is Counselor to the Albright Stonebridge Group.
Infosys is India’s third largest IT company, behind Tata Consultancy Services and Cognizant, and is headed by Vishal Sikka, who joined the firm a couple of years ago from Germany-based SAP.
The IT company had six independent directors on its board, including three Indians and three non-Indians.
Infosys has faced various attrition issues, which have been resolved over last two years.
