Any hot pursuit by India will have “terrible catastrophe”,Pakistan

Reacting strongly to the Indian Army Chief Gen VK Singh’s comment that India is “competent” to carry out the Abootabad kind of operation as America did, Pakistan Foreign Secretary, Salman Bashir said that if any country in South Asia tries to indulge into unilaterlism it will face severe consequences.

Without naming India but hinting clearly at India the foreign secretary said that “any kind of unilateralism will have terrible catastrophe”.

General Singh had told reporters in Lucknow yesterday that Indian defence forces were capable of conducting such surgical strikes.

“I just want to say that if we get the chance, Indian force’s three units (Army, Air Force and Navy) are capable of doing such tasks,” asserted Singh.

This is for the first time Pakistan was reacting officially after the operation in Abbotabad where Osama bin Laden was killed by a raid party of the US naval force.

Pakistan Foreign Secretary asserted that his country is capable of defending its country and no body should think of violating the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic.

After the American raid on Osama’s mansion without taking the consent of the Pakistani establishment a demand from a certain section of the Indian people have been raised that similar hot pursuit should also be done by India to kill those guilty in the 26/11 attack in Mumbai.

India alleges that the mastermind of the Mumbai terror attacks are being protected by the Pakistani government.
