Completing its move to a ‘consumer focused’ corporate structure, Bharti Airtel has filled up two slots — one to head its broadband and data service and another to head its DTH and media unit.
The new posts, in the current avatar, were created on the reorganization of Bharti Airtel’s internal corporate structure a month ago. It had split the different units into an enterprise group, a consumer group and a ‘market operations’ group.
The two new appointments, Rajiv Rajgopal as the CEO- Broadband/Data and Shashi Arora as the CEO-DTH/ Media services are being made within the ‘consumer services’ group.’ Both will report to K Srinivas- President of the newly created Consumer Business unit.
Rajiv and Shashi have both been promoted from circle-level responsibilities at India’s largest telecom firm.
