The Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court has raised questions about the report on the Lakhimpur murder case by the Uttar Pradesh CB-CID.
The CB-CID report ruled out any attempt to rape and pinned the blame of the 14-year-old girl on a police constable Atiq Ahmed Khan.
The Court expressed its reservations on the report and wondered whether the proper investigations had taken place.
The Court was hearing a petition asking for the case to be handed over to the CBI — the Central Bureau of Investigation under the Union Government.
