Baba Ramdev has offered to withdraw his agitation if the government declares the illicit money stashed by Indians in foreign bank accounts as a national asset.
“They have indicated verbal agreement. If they are willing to accept this demand, we will withdraw the agitation,” he said.
He added that he is willing to temporarily set aside his demand for a ban on high value currency notes if the Government agrees to three conditions.
He reiterated that he is not there to cause any trouble or instability in the country. He said he will give replies to any insinuation or allegation leveled by the government, but was not there to cause a revolution.
He said he has been in touch with the government for 25 days. “Our attitude towards the talks have been constructive.. and will remain so as long as the faith is there,” he said.
“We are not here to ask for jobs, or alms or reservations.. We are here to demand our rights.. [over slush funds]” he said.
Baba is holding talks with the government in the evening again, and is expected to sort out the major issues today itself.
