Just on the heels of the killing of the 35 highway workers in the Patkia province last week ten more workers became victims of the blast in the Kandhar province, southern Afghanistan.
RTN sources say that when the labourers were going for their daily work in the rural Panjwayi district of Kandahar province blast took place that claimed ten lives.
Experts describe the systematic attack as part of the “spring offensive” that the Taliban declared recently.
Kandhar has always been the hotbed of the Taliban activities since its inception in 1990s,its also called the spiritual homeland of the terrorist group.
Recently the insurgents tried to lay siege of some of the government buildings.
Attack on security forces is a common phenomenon in the province.
