Intex Technologies, one of the leading Indian handset player said it has partnered with Tata Teleservices subsidiary mRUPEE to launch their first ever mobile wallet.
The mobile wallet, named ‘Intex MyWallet’, will include quick integrated payment functionalities and conveniences within the device related to recharge, money transfer, shopping, booking train, movie bus tickets and much more, said the company.
As part of the tie-up, Intex will also launch a white labelled online facility via which Intex retailers will get opportunities to get a higher share of customer spending by offering retail-assisted services of recharges, bill payments, utilities & money transfer in just one click, the company added.
The Intex wallet customers will be rewarded for accessing content and other utilities which will help them in earning loyalty bonus which can be further redeemed for various utilities like their talk time & recharges and these loyalty rewards will ensure upward movement in customer value chain.
These points can also be used to upgrade to the next category of Intex handsets which the company will be launching in the near future thereby fostering brand loyalty, the company further added.

mRUPEE had previously tied up with IRCTC to provide a payment gateway, allowing users one-tap payments for rail ticket bookings.
It also had a tie-up with SmartD, a lifestyle management platform where it acts as the payment medium by helping consumers apportion and manage their day to day expenses.
